        1.  Bennie Austin3 McKee  (Andrew Logan (Mims)2, Unknown1 Mims) was born September 18, 1901 in Watts Mill, Laurens, Laurens County, South Carolina, and died October 17, 1926 in Laurens County, South Carolina.  He married Mamie McGee, daughter of John McGee and Maude Taylor.  She was born March 11, 1905, and died March 06, 1985 in Greenwood County, South Carolina.

B. J. McKee dies at Watts—-Laurens Advisor–October 21, 1926

Watts Mills, Oct. 19—On Sunday evening, October 17, Mr. B. J. McKee died at this place at the home of his mother. He has suffered for several months from a lingering illness. The funeral services were held here in the Baptist Church on Monday afternoon and were conducted by Rev. J. A. Martin in the presence of a large congregation of friends and relatives who came together to pay a last tribute to the deceased one.

Mr. McKee was well known at this place, having made his home here for a number of years. He was a member of the Baptist Church and had many friends here and elsewhere who extend their deepest sympathy to the entire family in this bereavement. He leaves a widow, a small son, his widowed mother, Mrs. M. J. Mckee; and following brothers and sisters; J. D. McKee of Greenville, T. C. McKee, Mills Spring, NC; J. A. McKee, Watts Mills; Mrs. N. H. Hill, Gray Court; Mrs. R. L. Patton, Greenville; Mrs. S. W. Wilson. Mrs. G. H. Stewart and Mrs. J. C. Thomas, Watts Mill.

Greenwood—Mamie McGee Walker, 79, of 137 Blyth Road died Wednesday.

She was a retired employee of Greenwood Mills, Matthews Plant, and was a member of Matthew United Methodist Church. She attended South Greenwood Church of God.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Kenneth {Joyce} Elmore of Greenwood; a sister, Vera Tharpe of Greenwood, and a brother, Cleve McGee of Greenwood.

Services 3pm Thursday at South Greenwood Church of God with burial in Greenwood Memorial Gardens.    Harley Funeral Home, Greenwood.

        2.  Warren Austin4 McKee (Bennie Austin3, Andrew Logan (Mims)2, Unknown1 Mims) was born August 25, 1923 in Greenwood County, South Carolina, and died February 07, 1983 in Anderson County, South Carolina.  He married Hazel Josephine Brown November 01, 1945 in Greenwood County, South Carolina by Rev. A. M. Doggett.  She was born April 11, 1929, and died October 11, 2003 in Anderson County, South Carolina.

Anderson—Warren Austin McKee, 59, of 406 McCullough St. died Sunday.

He was a retired textile employee and a US Army Veteran of World War II.

Surviving are his mother, Mamie McKee Walker of Greenwood, stepfather Sanders Walker; wife, Hazel Brown McKee of the home, sons, Bennie McKee of Ninety Six, Roger McKee of Greenwood and Michael McKee of Anderson; daughters, Brenda Williams, Joan King, Ann Johnson, and Vickie Vinson, all of Anderson and sister, Joyce Elmore of Greenwood.

Services will be at 2pm Wednesday at McDougald’s North Chapel.  Burial in Greenwood Memorial Gardens.

Anderson—-Warren Austin McKee, 59, died Monday at Veterans Administration Hospital, Augusta, Ga.

Born in Greenwood, he was a son of Mrs. Mamie McKee Walker and the late Bennie Austin McKee.  He was a retired employee of Haynesworth Mills, a Baptist and an Army Veteran of World War II.

Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Hazel Brown McKee; three sons, Bennie McKee of Ninety Six, Roger McKee of Greenwood, and Michael McKee of Anderson; four daughters, Mrs. Brenda Williams, Mrs. Joan King, Mrs. Ann Johnson, and Mrs. Vickie Vinson of Anderson; his stepfather and mother, Mr. and Mrs. Sanders Walker of Greenwood; a sister, Mrs. Joyce Elmore of Greenwood and 10 grandchildren.

Services will be held at 2pm Wednesday at McDougald Funeral Home, North Chapel, with burial in Greenwood Memorial Gardens, Greenwood.

Waterloo-Roger Dale “Popeye” McKee, 46, of Rt. 1,husband of Ann warren, died Oct. 19, 1996.

Born in Lincolnton, NC, he was a son of Hazel Brown McKee and the late Warren Austin McKee. He was employed by Brothers and Harrison and was a US Navy veteran of the Vietnam War.  He was of the Baptist Faith.

Surviving, in addition to his wife of the home and his mother of Anderson, are two stepdaughters, Christie Caton of the home and Tammie Thomas of Greensboro, NC; four sisters, Brenda Williams, Joan Brock, Ann Sullivan, and Vickie Vinson, all of Anderson; two brothers, Bennie McKee of Ninety Six and Michael McKee of Anderson; and two grandchildren.

Graveside services will be Tuesday at 2 pm at Greenwood Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Herman Bradley officiating.

Pallbearers will be Bobby Caton, Randy Lawrence, Randy Thomas, Buck Davenport, Bubba Davenport and Billy McDaniel.

The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 9 at Harley Funeral Home.

The family is at the home.
